By Sanjay Ram  ABOUT Online scams or internet fraud involves usage of the internet and comes under cybercrime for misuse of internets such as hiding information, providing wrong information such as showing wrong data by manipulating numbers, But on a larger scale which could affect someone financially by tricking the victim for money and property. Cybercrime is different from theft as the victim unknowingly gives information that becomes a source for these scams. TYPES OF SCAMS 1.CHARITY/DONATION The most common type has been’ charity fraud’ where the scammer asks for donations for a social cause such as for food, cloth, shelter for poor people, cancer donation, funds for education.
